Community Day 2025

Cricademia Community Day: Opening the Game to Every Child in Leeds

This summer, Cricademia hosted its Community Day—an event designed to bring cricket to life for children across Leeds. Proudly supported by Vimto, the day welcomed 64 children under the age of 11 to experience the sport in a vibrant, inclusive setting. From energetic drills to friendly matches, the pitch was alive with excitement and enthusiasm.

Spotlighting Talent, Building Futures

Among the participants, ten children stood out for their natural ability, focus, and eagerness to learn. These young athletes have been invited to Phase 2 trials for Cricademia’s Winter Development Program, where they’ll receive tailored coaching and mentorship to help them progress in a supportive cricketing environment.

Community at the Heart

The event also showcased the power of collaboration. Schools, sports hubs, and local organisations came together to create a space where every child felt welcomed and encouraged. It was a reminder that cricket can be a catalyst for connection, confidence, and community.

Thank You to Our Champions

Cricademia extends its sincere thanks to Mojo, Vimto, Din Academy, and Junior Sports Hub for their generous support. Gratitude also goes to our dedicated coaching staff and the Cricademia team for their energy and commitment throughout the day. A special thank you to Raz from YCB, whose belief in the program has been instrumental.

What’s Next

With Phase 2 on the horizon, Cricademia continues to focus on expanding access, nurturing talent, and building lasting impact. The journey has begun, and the momentum is strong. Every child in Leeds deserves the chance to thrive through cricket—and we’re here to make that happen.
