Huge congratulations to the Eagle Enforcers, the official first-ever champions of the Junior Premier Indoor League. Their victory marks a historic milestone, setting the bar with outstanding skill, teamwork, and determination.

A special shoutout to their managers whose leadership, dedication, and belief in the team played a vital role in this achievement.

A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible teams who participated in this year’s Junior Premier Indoor League. Your energy, sportsmanship, and passion made the competition truly unforgettable. JPL Competition Rules

1.⁠ ⁠Team Composition
Each team consists of 6 players on the court at any given time.
Each player must bowl 2 overs.
2.⁠ ⁠Game Format
Each match consists of 10 overs per team.
Each bowler can bowl a maximum of 2 overs.
Batters are required to retire upon reaching 25 runs. They can return to bat only if the entire team has been dismissed and overs are remaining.
Last man bats on by themselves, with a runner.
All 14-year-old (year 9 &10) and above will bowl of 22 yards pitch. U13s will bowl of 19 yards pitch (this includes U11s).
Maximum of 3 year 9/ year 10 players per side per game.
3.⁠ ⁠Scoring System
2 runs are scored by running between the wickets.
Bonus runs are awarded for hitting the walls:
6 runs for hitting the back wall on the full.
4 runs for hitting the back wall on the bounce.
1 run for hitting the side wall.
No-balls and wides result in 3 penalty runs with no extra delivery until the last over.
The last ball of both innings will be worth double runs.
4.⁠ ⁠Dismissals
Standard cricket dismissals apply; bowled, caught, LBW, stumped, run out, and hit wicket.
Indoor-specific dismissals include:
Caught off the wall: A batter can be caught if the ball hits the wall and is caught by a fielder before touching the ground.
5.⁠ ⁠Bowling Rules
Each bowler can bowl a maximum of 2 overs.
All bowlers must deliver the ball overarm.
No-balls are called for overstepping the crease, bowling short of line marked on pitch or bowling above waist height.
Wides are called for deliveries that pass outside the batter’s reach. Umpires will determine what constitutes a wide based on batter stance and ball trajectory.
6.⁠ ⁠Batting
Batters must retire at 25 runs but may return if the team is all out before the completion of overs.
No protective gear is necessary except for gloves and a helmet, a box (mandatory for male batters). Pads are optional

⁠7. Extras
No-balls and wides result in 3 penalty runs additional extra ball only in the last over of the innings.
Byes and leg byes are allowed, if the ball has not touched the bat before hitting the body.
8.⁠ ⁠Match Duration
Each innings consists of 10 overs, with an allotted time of 27 minutes per team.
There will be a 5-minute break between innings.
Please note timings are crucial in order to get all games finished.
10.⁠ ⁠Umpire's Decisions
All decisions made by the umpire are final and cannot be contested.
Any disputes must be addressed by the team captain immediately after the incident, and the umpire will make the final ruling.
11.⁠ ⁠Conduct
Players must adhere to fair play, sportsmanship, and respect toward officials and opponents.
Verbal abuse, dissent, or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in warnings, point deductions, or disqualification from the game or tournament.
12.⁠ ⁠Safety and Equipment
Only indoor cricket balls are allowed and provided by the organisers
Players must wear suitable indoor sports footwear. Spiked shoes are prohibited.
